The terms, in short

Business users only. These figures are an illustration, not an offer. All agreements are subject to status, affordability checks and acceptance. Guarantees or indemnities may be required. Sole traders and partnerships borrowing £25,000 or less are offered a regulated agreement.

VAT and fees. All rentals and payments are shown excluding VAT. VAT at the standard rate is added to each rental and to the initial payment. An acceptance fee of £189 is payable with the initial payment on both products. On Rent to Buy an option-to-purchase fee of £100 is payable only if you choose to buy the van.

Insurance and upkeep. You arrange fully comprehensive insurance in your business name for the whole term and send us proof before delivery. You look after servicing, tyres and repairs to the manufacturer's schedule and keep the van roadworthy and taxed after the first year.

Mileage and condition. The mileage allowance is the figure you chose above, pro rata to the term. Excess mileage is charged at 10p a mile excluding VAT when a van is handed back, together with any damage beyond fair wear and tear.

Ending early. A rental runs for the full term. A Rent to Buy agreement can be settled early at any time after the first 12 months, for a figure we will give you on request. Charges may apply if an agreement is ended early or the mileage or condition limits are exceeded.

Ownership. The van remains the property of BSN (SW) Limited until, on Rent to Buy, the final payment and option fee are paid and we confirm the transfer in writing. On a rental the van is never yours to sell, modify or sub-let.

Tax. Rentals are normally allowable against taxable profits, and if you are VAT registered you can usually reclaim the VAT on each rental. Nothing on this page is tax advice - please check your own position with your accountant.
